Dinner at Eagle Street Brisbane City River

To begin we'll pick you up to travel to a wildlife sanctuary situated along the Brisbane River. The sanctuary was opened in 1927 as a refuge for sick, injured and orphaned koalas but over the years has become committed to the protection of all our native wildlife. Here you will be able to see the native favourites, koalas, kangaroos, platypuses, dingoes and many more.

In the afternoon when you are finished your guide can take you to Mount Coot-Tha a lookout that has a stunning view of Brisbane before taking you back to your hotel where you can either relax, or we can arrange a tour of the beautiful botanical gardens and the city essentials.

Tonight we are taking you to the river for dinner with a view, the restaurants along this waterfront are some of Brisbane's best, with unbeatable city and river views. You will spot plenty of night activites on the river including a paddle-steamer dinner cruise, night kayak tours and much more (Brisbane Activities).

Being your first day in the area you may want to have an early night and your guide can take you back to your hotel. However, if the night is still young, we suggest a stroll along the waterfront as it is lined with lively spots and fantastic views including the lit Story Bridge. As always we can recommend our favourite places to visit at night.

Today consists of a full day cruise to Moreton Island. Moreton Island is off the coast of Brisbane and the surrounding bay is home to a thriving marine wildlife population, allowing you the chance to see dolphins, dugongs, sea turtles and humpback whales. It's definetely worth staying at Moreton Island if you have the time, here wild dolphin feeding and sandboarding is available. Nonetheless, if time is short this cruise lets you experience the highlights. Once you reach Moreton Island you will have the chance to feed fish and take a guided snorkelling trip around a cluster of 15 shipwrecks off of the islands coast. The wrecks are home to over 200 species of fish and 130 species of coral. You have a very high chance of viewing green sea turtles, bottlenose dolphins and dugongs among the wrecks.

Canoeing and snorkelling at Moreton Island shipwrecks

There are a variety of activities available on Moreton Island including feeding wild dolphins. Furthermore, there is a variety of deluxe and luxury accommodation options available on the island that we can recommend.

Your cruise will finish in the late afternoon and your guide will be waiting to collect you once finished. From here you will be heading South of Brisbane to a new accommodation at the Gold Coast. Your guide will give you some time to relax & settle in, and will pick you up in the evening for your selected dinner location. After a full day cruise and shipwreck snorkel you’re probably tired, but if not the Gold Coast has an active nightlife with many activities. If that’s an option, as always, your guide can help point you in the right direction.

In the morning we will take you to Springbrook National Park for some scenic walks and beautiful lookouts that look over the Gold Coast hinterland and coastline. Queensland's coastal rainforests are home to many unique animals and flora, as well as some amazing geological formations like the Natural Bridge. You could easily spend a whole day in some of these national parks which have walks/hikes for all ages and fitness levels.

Any trip to the Gold Coast wouldn't be justified if you did not visit one of the world renown beaches. The Gold Coast is home to two locations that are on the World Surfing Championship list and the beaches are truly some of the most picturesque beaches in the world. So after our morning walks we will venture to Burleigh Heads beach, the current local hotspot. A relaxing afternoon at one of the lively beachside restaurants overlooking Burleigh Beach is an option. Otherwise, we can organise some paddleboards or a learn to surf session so you can experience what The Gold Coast is all about.

Unfortunately holidays must always come to an end, and depending on your departure time, you’re guide will take you back to Brisbane for your departure.
