Australia Zoo

Activity available when visiting: Sunshine Coast, Brisbane

Home of international legend, The Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin. Steve and Terri set up Australia Zoo with the dream of it becoming the largest and best wildlife conservation facility in the world. Still today the zoo is at the forefront of conservation, and Terri, Bindi and Robert continue to work towards that dream in honour of Steve.

The Australia Zoo has over 1,200 animals allowing you to see iconic Australian animals like Kangaroos and Koalas but also Tigers, Rhinos and more. The zoo also has many experiences on offer. Whether it’s feeding the kangaroos and wallabies, free interactive shows like the famous saltwater crocodile show, VIP tours or even allowing your child to become a Zoo Keeper for the day, an experience they will never forget! Australian Zoo proceeds go towards continuing Steve’s legacy, funding Australia Zoo conservation, as well as, national and international conservation projects.

Alternatively, explore by yourself for the day, we can help you plan your trip by providing custom full day, half day or even Australian animal filled itineraries!

The Shows:

There are many free shows available at Australia Zoo but they can’t guarantee that every show will be available when you are visiting. When you enter the zoo you receive a schedule with the days activities and times. Tailored Queensland has a pretty good idea on what days certain shows are available so if you are looking to see something specific add Australia Zoo to Your Trip and we can answer any questions you may have.
