Rainforest Canopy Walk
Activity available when visiting: Brisbane, Gold Coast
Mount Tamborine is part of the World Heritage-listed Gondwana Rainforest, known as the Green behind the Gold. As the name suggests Mount Tamborine is located in Gold Coast hinterland and home to some of the most lush green rainforests in Queensland. While there are plenty of walking trails on the forest floor that you can explore, it is rare to get a close-up view of the forest canopy. The Rainforest canopy totals 1.5 kilometres in length (nearly a mile) and 30 metres (100 feet) above the ground. At a leisurely pace will take you about 45 minutes to complete. There are many points of interest and information along the way with plenty of opportunity to see native Australian animals, especially native birds along the way!
A fantastic leisurely activity that is a must do if you are in the area!
