Sea World provides the opportunity to see a lot of the underwater world that nowhere else offers. Whether it’s a polar bear, dolphins, seals, penguins or sharks, Sea World has it on offer. There are many unique shows and animal encounters on offer at Sea World that can make visiting this attraction a whole day activity. Additionally, there are some thrilling rides and rollercoasters here as well, however if this is what you are after, we would recommend looking at the other themeparks here on the Gold Coast.

Thunder Lake Stunt Show
See the high stakes showdown between the Sun State All Stars and the Bay City River Rats to decide once and for all who rules the iconic Sea World lake. Featuring world class action packed stunts performed by some of the best water sport athletes in the country!
Many animal encounters are on offer, if you’re interested in one of these you can also talk to your guide about adding on a professional photographer package that is available at varying costs depending on the encounter you choose.
Behind The Scenes Polar Bear Shores
$100 - per person
Get the experience of a lifetime and go behind the scenes at Polar Bear Shores. You’ll be guided by a Sea World Education Officer on an exciting journey of discovery as you learn about the Polar bears' impressive abilities, their care at Sea World and the conservation of this amazing species. Polar Bear Shores is home to Hudson, Nelson and Mishka. These are the only Polar bears in Australia, and the exhibit replicates the Arctic summer. You may have the opportunity to see the kitchen area where all their food is prepared, as well as view the dens and play areas where the Polar bears spend time when not on exhibit. Program duration is approximately 45 minutes. All participants of this experience must hold a valid pass to enter the park.
Dolphin Couple Adventure

Enjoy a private experience for two participants and interact with some of Sea World’s inquisitive dolphins with a trainer. Learn about these beautiful mammals and their natural behaviours as they demonstrate amazing skills in a 45-minute encounter, with approximately 20 minutes in the water.
Dolphin Aqua Adventure Child
$190 per child
Give your child a once in a lifetime experience with this amazing opportunity to meet one of Sea World’s inquisitive dolphins. This incredible experience is specially designed so that the little ones can have a wonderful dolphin experience. Participants will be given an educational and informative talk and shown a variety of amazing dolphin behaviours and you can watch from the nearby viewing platform. Program duration is approximately 45 minutes with approximately 20 minutes in the water. The Child Dolphin Aqua Adventure program is available for guests aged 5 to 13 years of age and a minimum height of 110cm.Dolphin Deep Water Adventure

During this program the Marine Mammal Trainer will give an informal educational presentation while guests have the opportunity to observe a dolphin in a deep water encounter. Program duration is approximately 45 minutes with approximately 20 minutes in the water. This differs from other encounters as it is in deep water, allowing you to see the dolphin in a more realistic environment.
Dolphin Family Adventure

This amazing experience offers you and your family the chance to create magical memories with some of Sea World’s inquisitive dolphins. You’ll get to interact with a dolphin and trainer together as a family, in a fun and educational shallow water encounter. You’ll get to see a variety of incredible dolphin behaviours that will display the beautiful nature of these mammals. Program duration is approximately 45 minutes with approximately 20 minutes in the water. All participants of this experience must hold a valid pass to enter the park.
The maximum number of participants is 6 and MUST include one child (aged 4 to 13 years of age and a minimum height of 102cm).
Meet the Dolphin

Enjoy a truly unique experience where you will join Sea World’s dolphin trainers and meet these beautiful mammals while gaining an insight into their precious world. Program duration is approximately 20 minutes and is a shallow water encounter, held either on a submerged platform or in the shallows of a sandy bottom lagoon.
Seal Aqua Adventure
$170 - per person
This full water-based interaction with some of Sea World’s gorgeous seals gives you the opportunity to learn more about these beautiful animals as they demonstrate their amazing underwater skills. You will have the opportunity to get up close and personal with various species of seal. These species may include Long-nosed fur seals, Australian sea lions or Californian sea lions. You will pat them in the water, feed and learn about their individual personalities.
You will even get to swim in deeper water, put goggles on and watch these amazing animals swim underneath and around you. Program duration is approximately 45 minutes with approximately 20 minutes in the water.

This amazing experience gives you the opportunity to have a cheeky encounter with some of Sea World’s adorable seals. Although you don’t enter the water in this program, it will be a very personal experience where you will discover the playful and loveable nature of these beautiful animals, meet various species of seals which may include Long-nosed fur seals, Australian sea lions or Californian sea lions and even get to see a number of seal behaviours.
Shark Bay Discovery
$230 - per person
Experience the best of Shark Bay with a two-part, once in a lifetime encounter. You’ll come face to face with some of the ocean’s top predators when you enter the acrylic cage in Shark Bay’s Shark Lagoon, including our magnificent whaler sharks, Dusky and Bull. You will then snorkel through the Reef Lagoon interacting with a selection of beautiful tropical fish, majestic rays and our harmless Black Tip and White Tip reef sharks.
Program duration is approximately 1.5 hours with approximately 20 minutes in the cage and 20 minutes in the reef pool. Scuba option may be available again soon depending on COVID restrictions, talk to your guide when you add this activity to Your Trip for more up to date information.
Tropical Reef Snorkel
$80 - per person OR $250 - Family pack (Max 4)
You’ll encounter a selection of beautiful tropical fish, majestic rays and other fascinating marine life including our harmless Black tip and White tip reef sharks. You will look through to the Shark Lagoon to see the much larger sharks including one of the most misunderstood sharks, the Bull whaler shark.
The water is heated in winter to a very comfortable 22-24 degrees, and features a number of ‘safe havens’ where you can stand and rest while snorkelling. You’ll be accompanied by an experienced Dive Leader for the duration of your snorkel. Program duration is approximately 60 minutes with approximately 20 minutes in the water.
Marine Rescue Ranger

Experience an exclusive behind the scenes tour of Sea World's resident rescued animals with the Marine Rescue Ranger Program. Get up close and personal with rescued dolphins, seals and turtles. Learn about threats to marine animals and what you can do to help protect them.

Penguin Antarctic Adventure

Step onto the ice and into your very own Antarctic adventure in the amazing frozen world of Penguin Encounter. Join Sea World’s Penguin Keepers in a unique, up close and personal interaction with the second largest species of penguin in the world, the King penguin, as well as the playful and agile Gentoo penguins.
You’ll receive an exclusive behind the scenes tour of the award winning exhibit that mimics their natural Antarctic environment, and engage in a range of penguin activities that may include a feeding session or a fun enrichment program. Program duration is approximately 45 minutes with approximately 20 minutes on the ice.
