Brisbane City Day Tour

Before your tour start date we provide you with a selection of Brisbane's best food spots, the type of places we wish we could eat at everyday ourselves. So for Day 1 you are starting the day with the Brisbane locals at your chosen location. After breakfast we will make our way North of Brisbane towards the Sunshine Coast, this will give you time to recover before we stop in at the Australia Zoo, which currently holds the spot of Australia’s number 1 tourist attraction. Founded by Australia’s national icon, The Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin. Steve and his wife Terri always dreamed of making their zoo the largest and best wildlife conservation facility in the world. Still today the Irwin’s carry on with that vision in Steve’s memory. The zoo is a major attraction where you can see many of Australia’s native animals, in addition to, safari animals. Feed Kangaroos, hold Koalas and watch the famous crocodile shows! The Australia Zoo has a bit of everything.

The Australia Zoo can easily be a whole day excursion, typically though, if we get you there in the early morning there is still plenty of time left to continue to one of Sunshine Coasts famous beaches. Here you can explore the area, catch some of the Australian sun, learn to surf and experience Queensland's beach culture. Once finished it will have been a long day, so your guide will drop you back off at your hotel where you can relax before dinner.

With bountiful options for dinner it will be hard to choose. For this trip we suggest a dinner cruise along the Brisbane River. With live entertainment and stunning views of Brisbane, this can really be the icing on the cake after a busy day. If you are up for it afterwards, your guide can suggest some great spots along the Brisbane River waterfront where you can continue your night.

Kangaroo and joey by water during private day tour

Start the day in South Bank, a cultural hot spot in Brisbane City situated along the Brisbane River. Here you can walk off your breakfast in the beautiful parklands and see the popular man-made beach in the heart of the city. Along the waterfront is the Wheel of Brisbane where you can take a break and go for a pleasant ride with a 360-degree birds-eye view of Brisbane. A short walk from the wheel is the Brisbane Gallery of Modern Art (GOMA).

Even if you're not the art gallery type, you may be surprised. Although the galleries offerings change frequently, it always has something unique and undoubtedly, you will see exhibitions that are just outright amazing. Whether it's Aborigonal art collections, famous artist displays or even something as unique as motorcycle art and design (one of the current exhibitions). You never quite know what's going to be on display, but add The GOMA to Your Trip and your guide can tell you their thoughts about what's currently on offer!

Once you have finished exploring the cultural hotspots of Brisbane we can organise a range of different activities, take a look at the best of Brisbane activities. We suggest either a special spa treatment or perhaps during last nights cruise you spotted the Kangaroo Point cliffs along the brisbane river. For a glimpse of the view, take a look at the photograph below. These cliffs or 'crag' as commonly used in the rock climbing world, are arguably one of the best natural urban climbing spots in the world, right in the heart of Brisbane. We can organise an exhilarating two hour rock climb or a shorter absail down these cliffs, an activity that is available for even those who have never rock climbed in their life.

At night it’s time for dinner with a show! Spirits of the Red Sand is an Aboriginal experience that will have you journey back in time to 1800’s Queensland as the British and Aboriginal ways of life collide. A masterpiece of authentic Aboriginal storytelling, this live theatre performance will immerse you in an unforgettable story of three Aboriginal brothers and their families. The evening experience includes a delicious three-course dinner and will allow you to experience the traditional song, dance, culture and community of the indigenous people.

When it's time for your departure your guide can drop you back at your hotel and pick you up one final time to end a quick Queensland trip that will be worth remembering.
